Co2 tanks are one of the two types of propellant used to fire a paintball, with the other being Compressed air. A common question that we get asked is which is better, Co2 or compressed air? The answer can vary depending on what you are using it for, for example if you are playing on your own property and are using a standard mechanical marker, Co2 may be a better option for you because you will get more shots per fill. On the other hand, if you are playing at a paintball field, then typically compressed air is a better option because you can keep refilling it all day long and that is usually included with your entry. Other things to consider is that Co2 tanks are usually less expensive than compressed air tanks, however they cost more to fill. Additionally, not everywhere can fill Co2 including most paintball fields.
