The Infamous Silencio FL Barrel Tip is a performance paintball barrel tip engineered for players who want a quieter shot, consistent ball on ball precision, and reliable performance in changing weather conditions. Designed around the demands of Pro Team Infamous, the Silencio combines lightweight aluminum construction with Infamous' innovative Silencio Linear Porting.
Compatible with Planet Eclipse Shaft FL Barrel Inserts, the Infamous Silencio FL Tip uses elongated linear ports instead of traditional round porting holes. This unique design manages escaping air differently as the paintball travels through the barrel, helping create a smoother pressure release while reducing the number of individual ports.
Traditional paintball barrel porting can use a large number of individual round holes, with each opening creating another point for air and pressure to escape. The Silencio design takes a different approach.
Instead of dozens of traditional round holes, Silencio Linear Porting uses 20 elongated ports. Each slot provides a larger path for escaping air while reducing the total number of individual pressure release points.
The result is a barrel tip designed around smoother airflow, a quieter sound signature, consistent paintball flight, and improved resistance to liquid entering the barrel through the porting.
The elongated Silencio ports provide escaping air with a larger path through each individual opening. With fewer individual ports than many traditional barrel designs, airflow can exit more smoothly with less turbulence.
This gives the Infamous Silencio FL Barrel Tip its distinctive quiet sound signature and makes it an excellent upgrade for players who prefer a more refined shot sound from their Planet Eclipse FL barrel system.
As a paintball passes traditional barrel porting, each opening creates a change in the way pressure is released ahead of the ball. The Silencio design reduces the number of individual pressure changes by using fewer, longer ports.
Because the slots are elongated, pressure is released more progressively as the paintball travels toward the end of the barrel. This smoother airflow is designed to promote consistent ball on ball precision from shot to shot.
Rain, broken paint, and moisture can create problems when liquid enters the porting of a paintball barrel. Silencio Linear Porting was specifically engineered with wet playing conditions in mind.
The Silencio slots are less than one third the width of conventional porting holes. This narrow opening helps surface tension hold water or paint within the port instead of allowing it to easily drip through into the barrel. When the marker is fired, the pressure generated by the next shot helps push trapped liquid back out through the porting.
This design was put to the test in real tournament conditions, including the heavy rain experienced during NXL Dallas 2019.
The Infamous Silencio FL Tip was developed as a purpose built barrel system rather than simply modifying existing porting technology. Infamous performed airflow analysis across multiple design concepts and simulated thousands of shots before moving into physical production and field testing.
Real world testing was then used to further refine the design under actual paintball conditions. The goal was to create an FL barrel tip that could deliver the quiet sound signature, consistency, wet weather performance, and durability demanded by competitive players.
The Silencio FL Tip features a micro honed interior designed to provide a smooth internal surface as the paintball travels through the barrel. Combined with the Silencio Linear Porting system, the design focuses on creating consistent airflow and dependable shot performance.
The Infamous Silencio FL Barrel Tip is compatible with Planet Eclipse Shaft FL barrel inserts, making it an excellent upgrade for players who already own and use the FL insert system.
If you're looking to upgrade your Planet Eclipse Shaft FL barrel system, the Infamous Silencio FL Barrel Tip combines advanced linear porting, a quiet sound signature, consistent airflow, and wet weather performance in a barrel tip engineered for competitive paintball.
