If you’re diving into paintball or just looking to upgrade your gear, there’s no goggle more iconic, or more customizable, than the JT ProFlex. Known for its comfort, breathability, and retro style, the ProFlex has become a staple for players who want performance and personality on the field.
In this blog, we’ll walk you through how to build your own custom JT ProFlex goggle, step by step.
Why Choose the JT ProFlex?
The ProFlex isn’t just about looks, it’s about function and flexibility. With its soft lower faceplate, dual-pane thermal lens, and fully modular design, you can build a goggle that fits your style, looks the way you want, and delivers top-tier performance in any condition.
What You’ll Need to Build a Custom ProFlex:
-
Visor (optional)
-
Hardware (must have!)
- Tools (hex key, Philips-head screwdriver, flathead screwdriver if needed)
Step-by-Step: Building Your ProFlex Goggle
-
Start with the Frame
This is the foundation. Start here since one of the hardest parts is next. -
Install the Lens
The ProFlex lens system is simple but secure. Pinch the nose and put the two tabs into the slats in the goggle frame. Once those snap into place, just line up the others and snap them all in place! -
Attach the Faceplate
This is where the ProFlex gets its signature look and performance. There are four studs on the faceplate. Line up the two at the very back to the holes in the goggle frame and snap those into place. This should align the frame to the faceplate and the last two studs will be much easier to secure. -
Add Your Ears
This is where your hardware comes into play. You'll need your four posts, and four screws to secure the ears onto your build. There should be holes that overlap the ears on the frame, and the faceplate over the ears. Once aligned and secured, move onto the next step! -
Install the Strap
Choose from tons of custom and limited edition straps. If you're not able to push the strap through the slat in the frame, use a flathead screwdriver but be careful! You don't want to mess up your lens if you lose your grip. -
Pop On a Visor (Optional)
Not everyone uses one, but visors help with glare! The visor will have three studs that snap into the top of the goggle frame. Simply align it how you'd like it, and snap it in place!
Tips for a Perfect Fit:
-
Make sure your lens is seated evenly all the way around.
-
Adjust your strap so the goggle is snug but not tight.
- Test the seal around your face. There should be no pressure points.
Build it Your Way
The beauty of the JT ProFlex system is that you can swap parts whenever you want. Want a new look mid-season? Change the strap or lens. It’s your setup! Build it how you want to!
